Hey friends! Hope you're doing well! It's the C is for Cthulhu team with a few key campaign updates for you!
#1: Pledge Over Time Backers Have Completed Collection 3 of 3
For the first time this campaign, we enabled Pledge Over Time, a new Kickstarter feature that lets backers split larger pledges up into 3 monthly payments. We had 51 of 339 backers (15%) select that option. Today, Kickstarter attempted to collect payment 3 of 3 from our backers. Yay!
As you know, we're using BACKERKIT to collect surveys from our Kickstarter backers, and the way Backerkit handles POT backers is that their surveys are LOCKED and unable to be completed until the final payment is made.
According to Backerkit, POT backers will receive their survey WITHIN 48 HOURS of their final successful payment.
We had backers reach out today saying their 3rd payment has been made but they haven't received their survey. As far as we know, Backerkit will auto-send surveys within 48 hours.
We also want to let you know that we're seeing 9 of our POT backers whose third and final payment has errored. You may want to double check to see if that's you... because you will NOT get your Backerkit Survey until that final payment has been resolved. I believe Kickstarter only let's you fix that errored payment for 7 days before dropping you, so please get that fixed HERE ON KICKSTARTER so there is no hold up on your rewards.
#3: The Non-New Plush Merch is Here!
We've now received all of the items other than the three new plush toys. The latest to arrive... NEW Acrylic Standees!

Also in the house: metal cards, coins, new pins, magnets and lanyards. Yay! All that's left is for our new DAGON, YOG-SOTHOTH and UNNAMEABLE plush toys to arrive!
#3: Rewards That Can Be Shipped NOW... Are Being Shipped!
A small number of backers pledged for product that is now entirely in-stock, so we're shipping out ANYTHING we can now, rather than waiting for the remaining product where doing so makes sense.

C is for Cthulhu Fam, good news!
C is for Cthulhu Series 3 Plush Toys Backerkit Survey are out and live for most backers! NOTE: If you chose the PLEDGE OVER TIME (POT) Option at checkout on Kickstarter, your survey will be held until your final payment is collected. (More on that below.)

If you selected the PLEDGE OVER TIME option, which was available on pledges $125+, then only your first of three equal payments has been collected.
All POT backers will have Charge #2 take place on Sep 24 and Charge #3 take place on Oct 24 2025. After that Oct 24 payment, your Backerkit Survey will be unlocked and sent to you.

Kickstarter Funds Collected! Surveys Out This Week!

Hey, C is for Cthulhu family!
Hope you're enjoying the transition to the fall season, back to school and all that fun stuff! We're pleased to report that Kickstarter has finished doing its thing collecting funding from our backers and those funds have started hitting our accounts, allowing us to pay our vendors and get things moving on the fulfillment for this project.
Unfortunately, we were sad to see that 7 backers' pledges were dropped as Kickstarter was unable to resolve their credit card charge issues. This amounts to over $2,500 in lost funding for the campaign, and was higher than anticipated, which does put a strain on the team.
However, any backers who were unable to get their cards fixed in time will have the opportunity to correct the issue when we send our Backerkit Survey later this week.
And if you were hoping to add a few additional items to your pledge when you fill out the survey, you'll be able to do that too, which will help us earn back some of that dropped funding.
📋BACKERKIT SHIPPING SURVEYS COMING THURSDAY MORNING!
Before we can finalize our orders, we need to send out your shipping survey to get your shipping information, confirm any add-ons you may have pledged for during the campaign, and to collect "whole-order weight" shipping charges from international backers.
And even if you didn't select any of our fabulous add-ons during the Kickstarter campaign, you'll be able to upgrade your pledge or choose some ADD-ON EXTRAs when you fill out your survey as well!
This Thursday morning, Campaign Surveys, powered by Backerkit, will go out to all backers.
It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond.
Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.
If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at HERE.
Also, because some items are limited, if you're late to filling out your survey, some of those EXTRAS may get snatched up... so we hope you'll fill it out as soon as it comes through!
Note: We will send the survey a bit earlier to a small % of randomly selected backers so that we can "smoke test" the survey to make sure it's operating as we expected. If you receive your surveys later today instead of Thursday, we hope you'll also get them in ASAP so we can properly test the survey.
Did Your Pledge Get Dropped? Did You Make the Wrong Pledge?
Unfortunately, we were sad to see that 43 backers' pledges were dropped as Kickstarter was unable to resolve their credit card charge issues...
However, you will be able to fix this through the Backerkit Survey.
Also, if you made a mistake in your pledge and selected the wrong reward, you will be able to correct it when the survey comes.
Also, if you won an extra bonus from us by participating in one of our backer bonus games, those extras should already be populated in your Backerkit pledge manager.

Hey, friends and backers! Thanks so much for being a part of another successful C is for Cthulhu launch to bring three more amazing plush toys into the family, along with some cool new merch!

Results of the Cover Concepts Poll:
In our last update, we shared some blazing hot Halloween book cover conceptsfrom artist extraordinaire Joshua Janes, and we asked our backers to chime in on their favorite.
This was a much closer vote than some of the ones we've done in the past... and we also had some great feedback on certain elements you particularly liked.
Congrats to Shelly A., who was selected at random from backers who submitted votes to be our poll bonus winner! (We'll contact Shelly to see what she'd like as her prize through a direct message.)
Next Stop: Fulfillment!
Right now, we at the start of the two week funds hold freeze, where Kickstarter does its thing to collects and processes all of the pledges on our behalf.
As of right now, 93.7% of pledges were successfully collected over the weekend (yay!)
However, that still means 21 BACKERS' pledges did not go through (yikes!)
If your pledge was not collected, this probably means that your credit card on file with Kickstarter has expired.
You should log into your Kickstarter account to fix it, otherwise, your rewards may be delayed or canceled.
Backers with errored pledges will have until 8/30/24 to fix their pledges on Kickstarter to avoid them being dropped.
We expect the Kickstarter funds to be distributed to us on or around September 10, 2025, as it always takes Kickstarter at least two weeks to transfer funds to project creators bank accounts.
In the meantime, we're going to be tallying up preliminary order counts to get our large order with our plush manufacturer in, so that we can get the production team rolling.
PLEDGE MANAGEMENT & SHIPPING SURVEYS
You can expect a SHIPPING SURVEY to be sent out to you early next month, after all the pledges have been collected. Your Shipping Surveys and pledge management will be handled by BACKERKIT, which will be an essential tool for a campaign like this. With it, you'll be able to:
1: Tell us where to ship your goods.
2: Let you confirm your pledge level and add-ons selected during the campaign.
3: Let us collect for INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING which was not charged during this campaign, and instead will be calculated based on total order weight and charged through Backerkit. (US shipping is free and was included in your pledge.)
4: Let you make any corrections or changes or add-ons to your order BEFORE we ship it out to you.
So you can finalize and add on until your order is PERFECT.
And who knows... we might even have a few EXTRAS not included in the campaign available for you to add to your order before you finalize it!
